Here's Chapter Seventeen (Vietnam) of The Audio Book of GINNY GOOD which is going to end up being one of the few memorable books of the 21st Century. Nobody ever made anything like it. This particular chapter takes place toward the end of January in 1965.

Hey, Karen, with due respect to your studio insurers and whoever wrote the boilerplate you sent me, if you would've read my e-mail you would've realized that Ginny Good is a book and, as such, is copyrighted up the wazoo and can't therefore be plagiarized any more than you could plagarize Moby Dick. You guys must be able to read books, right? All my e-mail did was suggest a good book and offer to send you a free copy. Surely the studio insurers can't have a problem with that, can they? Hey, David, you're right! You're not the David Levine...from Out of the Blue. I obviously have no idea who I'm writing to. There's another Gerard Jones who's a famous comic book writer but now writes regular books, as well. We get confused for one another. He's better known than I am but I'm older and had the name way before he did. Forward my little e-mail along to someone in development. Tell 'em Ginny Good is just a book (already published and doing okay so no one can steal it...I know how paranoid about that sort of thing movie guys are) that would make as good a movie as Cuckoo's Nest or The Godfather. It's set in Northern California from the early, early sixties through the seventies, so all that Haight-Ashbury hippie stuff comes into play but it's incidental to the "story."
